Hello Paul,
There are no "cleaning sheets" for this unit. Typically when this unit starts leaving marks on printed copies then it is time to do some maintenance on it. By maintenance I mean replacing the imaging drum, the toner and or the developer, all of which can be ordered from this link; Sharp Monochrome Copier Copier Duplicator FREE delivery If you don't feel comfortable then you need to call service!
This printer also has a drum unit. If the marks are appearing at regular intervals down the page (2-3 inches apart) it is almost certainly the drum unit at fault. The drum unit can easily and cheaply replaced.
Loading Paper 1 Adjust the guides to the position for the paper size you are using. 2 Fan the paper well. Push down the paper lever. Load the paper (with the lever down). Make sure the print side is toward the fax machine and the paper level is stacked below the paper mark. The feeder can hold up to 200 sheets of paper, or up to 10 envelopes. Acceptable Paper The FAX/MFC can handle paper that has the following specifications. But please note that you can receive fax messages only on Letter, Legal and A4 paper. If you use legal or A4, change the Paper Size setting: (Menu/Set, 1, 1.) Paper Type Paper Size Cut sheet Letter, A4, Legal, B5, A5, Executive, Custom size 2.75-8.5 Ć 5-14 inches (70-216 Ć 127-356 mm) Envelopes DL, C5, COM-10, Monarch Post Card 2.75-8.5 Ć 5-11 inches (70-216 Ć 127-279 mm) Organizer Day-TimerĀ® J, K, L, M 2.75-8.5 Ć 5-11 inches (70-216 Ć 127-279 mm) Labels and Transparencies 2.75-8.5 Ć 5-14 inches (70-216 Ć 127-356 mm)
i can't tell you step-by-step how to fix as i don't know this particular model well, but i can tell you that you need to check your machines internal paper settings and most of all, make sure your "auto reduction" is set to "on".
Drum cleaning blade has gone bad. Especially true if the streaks seem to get progressively worse as you run multiple copies. In other words run 10 copies. If the last one out is worse than the first one out it is the drum cleaning blade. Cheap part...around $25
The Colour toner more small and he does not disappear the blade a peelings, you it is necessary to check the magnetic hand on colour cartridge. If hand unevenly covers the magnetic gross to adjust the дозирующее blade. Clean the gross, insert the sheet of paper between dose and gross and release the bolts an dose blades, press the blade to paper aside gross magnetic, afterwards bolt the bolt. Extract the sheet. Clean all from the remainder of the toner. Check the blade a peelings drum if evaporation during stop main by breaker exists on drum, change rakel. The Period of rakel's work is measured by period of the work photo drum, beside 10 thousand sheets. Such effect more often exists from wear-out of rakel. Remind, black toner has grain more so he leaves the rakel. The Colour toner small and its clear requires new rakel.Udachi. fault has not an electronic reason. This mechanics.
different models of copiers run different ways, some lasers write the white part of the page in others it writes the black. some machines use corona wires to charge the drum and some use rollers. Copiers are by no means a simple device, that is why they can cost anywere from a couple hundred dollars to half a million.
The orange roller is probably contaminated from toner that is sticking partly to the photodrum in the cartridge.
That roller is likely made of silicone rubber (heatproof) that presses the paper against the fuser roller to 'fix' the toner to the sheet.
I suggest replacing the cartridge and cleaning whatever is accessible before you put the new cartridge in.
There is a scanner lock located on the bottom of the scanner. Look where you take your copies out of the machine. On the under side of the scanner you will see a green latch about an inch and a half long and half inch wide.
Turn the machine off. push the scanner latch inward , then pull it back toward yourself until you hear and feel it snap into place. Then turn the machine back on. that should do it.
Make 1 copy with the lid open & verify that the scan lamp is lighting & that the scanner moves. A blown lamp is the most common cause for all black copies.
