My jrc 1500 mk2 takes several tries to get it going. whatever is inside the dome seems to be scraping the inside of the plastic cover when it finally does begin to rotate. is this a do it yourself fix?

The pulse generator is in the dome. Check all the connectors for corrosion. Help in the link and it is a common error. It sounds like you need a new 'professional'.

Check the fuse marked 'tail' in the fuse box on the inside at the left lower dash under the plastic cover.

yes remove plastic cover on the inside of the car,on pillar you might get it

rotate the little rocker switch back and forth several times and try it if no go take the cover off the inside of the door behind the mirror and test for power there that will tell you if there is power going to the motor or not the switch could be bad

Try very carefully take off the plastic or whatever is covering the mic (you don't have to, just makes it a little easier). Get a toothpick (I recommend wood), and carefully scrape the ice-cream (is it chocolate?).

Try sealing the dome onto the door with silicone sealant. Smooth it well into the inside of the door so that it will not be caught by the washing. Also smear liberal amounts on the outside to hold the dome in place, but smooth it off for appearance sale. Smoothing is best done with a wet finger to leave a good finish.

Yes, bought one today, everything was fine until I put water in the tank, then it stopped after about 3 min. I think you will find that the previous owners (assuming 2nd hand) haven't de-scaled it. Take the rear cover off 5 self tap screws & you should see a lot of scale (calcium) you have to clean this away by whatever means you have (a hose nozzle) try not to wet the electrics too much. I had a wet vacuum aqua-vac I think &that helped but you can still do the same thing by hand, once it's fairly clean, it should run right, if i'm not wrong there will be a lot of calcium on the lower heat exchanger, you have to take off the plastic cover (2) self-tap screws & you will see what I mean, just scrape it away with the end of a toothbrush, no the end you hold, see you Richard

Hi , I have a JRC 1000 with manual if it can helps ( in English and french but i ma in france. You can also use the installation manual of JRC 1500 available on internet under pdf format , very similar ( same screen and operating interface )
