I have a F2-41 code. What does this code mean?

You will need to purchase the Post Script Driver for that model. Sharp Copiers require a product key code to enable post script on their copiers. A sharp dealership will have to sell it to you as well as to get the product key code for the postscript driver.

Check the sorter whether its well connected and check its motors and sensors.

# * C * in fast sequence. Then enter simulation 14 and press start button. Hit yes to confirm and then the copier will reboot.

Put the machine in test mode with the following key sequence:

P - * - C - *

then, 14-Start ... Execute ... Yes

CA to reboot the machine. For good measure, shut the power off, wait, and turn it on.

PS. - Get your copier on its' own outlet and share it with Nothing!!

the DK message means it is time to replace the black drum unit. the drum unit is called an ARC26DU. open the front cover. remove the toner cartridge/s by lifting the green lever and pulling the toner out. Open the left side door. look at where you just pulled out the toner and there is one screw (facing you) holding each drum in place - loosen the screw and pull the drum unit out towards you....slide in the new drum unit.
to reset drum counter go into SIM mode by pressing the following keys one after the other "P" "*" "C" "*" then 24 and start/copy key then 7 then select the color drum you are replacing and confirm reset. make sure copier restarts afterwards

DO NOT refill these toner cartridges (even if you can find someone to do it) The toner cartridges for these machines have generally had ongoing problems as far as longevity and quality - refilling them will only make it worse.

If you know the IP address, connect the printer with a laptop using a cross cable. Go to the printer web page by typing the IP address of the machine in the Internet explorer. Browse the menu under network setting and save after you change the gateway

login to the copiers web interface (the ip address of the printer ex: 192.168.XX.XX) you will see Network Scanning. Here you can change all the scanning e-mail options.

The default key operator access code on that machine is 00000
with this code you can enter network settings and change ip and subnetmask to your new requirements.

If this doesnt work you can get keyop password by entering simulation mode and get service report which has user code on it.

i'd try consumer reports or Cnet.com for reviews, and that might let you know more about it..
