I am looking for diagram of my motherboard n.msi 1996 please help me, thanks lot

N-1996 is the 'C-tick' number. This is what MSI (Micro Star International), uses.
"A C-Tick mark may also appear on our MSI products that are required tocomply with Australian electromagnetic compatibility requirements andradio-communications standards. It signifies that the product may belegally sold in Australia. Now it requires EMC compliance must bemarked with the C-tick logo and ACA supplier code number. Our ACAsupplier code is N1996. The supplier is responsible for holding aCompliance Folder that contains compliant test reports and aDeclaration of Conformity."
(From MSI Computer.com)

Look on the motherboard in-between the expansion slots, (PCI, AGP) Also look in the middle of the motherboard, or off to one side.
You are looking for the MSI model number.

Example: K7T266 Pro2 v2.0

That means it's the K7T266 Pro2 -> version 2.0
Probably uses DDR Sdram at 266MHz. (PC2100)

If it is the MSI K7266Pro2 v2.0, it's also called the MS-6330

This link is to Motherboards.org, and the download page for the Motherboard Manual. It has all info needed to connect the wires.
What processors can be used. What ram memory can be used. What chipsets are on the motherboard.
It's a Motherboard Manual.

http://www.motherboards.org/mobot/manuals/MSI/K7T%2BPro2-A%2B%2B%2528MS-6330%2529/

Go to the right of -> File6330v10e-exe Version:--Release Date:--
,and click on -> Download <-

This is a Zip file.
After you click on it, it will download to your computer. IF, you do not have your downloads set to download to your My Documents folder, it will go to your desktop screen.
When you see it double-click on it.

A Microsoft 'Squawk Box' will come up. Ignore it. It's a safe file straight from MSI. They don't want to pay Microsoft, to digitally certify this download. If they did, they would have to pay Microsoft everytime somebody downloads this file.

Click on Run.
Now you will see the Extraction Wizard come up. Go up to the left, and click on Extract All File. Or the window may be a little different.
If so, click on Un-Zip.

Now you will have four unzipped files on your desktop screen, besides the original zip file. How to attach the wires is in File 2.

I would appreciate it, if you woulde rate my solution.

Hav K7T266 Pro2 motherboard, can not get it to go past turning on

Lorna,
to change bus to 133 MHz, you need to unlock the speed by setting a corresponding jumper on the board to assign busspeed by bios. After doing so, you need to clear CMOS and reboot. Next you'll have to set speed and multiplier in bios. Ideally: 900MHz = 100 x 9. Alternatively: 133 x 6.5 If that doesn't help...check if your RAM-modules are any good anymore. When RAM is not functioning, CPU-error code may be presented, since CPU cannot read/write to RAM, therefore not function. Let me know how this turns out.
Kind regards,
Stephan
