Every Facebook account has access to the
website's app ecosystem, which allows users to play games, and use third-party
tools from within the Facebook environment.
When you sign up to use most apps, you also
subscribe to updates and notifications from the app's creator.
If you want to completely get rid of pop-up
notifications on your Facebook page, you can remove the app from your account
settings.
Go to facebook.com in a Web browser, and log in with your username and
password.
Click on the "Account" button in the upper-right
corner of the page, and choose "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down
menu that appears.
Click on the "Edit your settings" link in the
section of the page labeled "Apps and Websites."
Press the "Edit Settings" button next to the
"Apps you use" section.
Click on the "Edit Settings" button for the app
that you want to remove.
Press "Remove App," then click
"Remove" to confirm your decision.
Facebook will now remove the app from your list,
and stop displaying pop-up notifications from it on your page.
