Just purchased a Lexmark T640 for my computer lab in a high school. Problems have arisen from the beginning. My previous HP 420 series was a work horse and networked easily.
This printer will disconnect from our network on a regular basis. If more than one student is printing at the same time, instead of stacking up in memory, at least one of them will get an error message that they cannot print due to printer setup problems. Other times they CAN print! It is as though only one can print at a time and have to "time it" so that this error doesn't show up.
Can anyone help me?

If the Lexmark T632 is already connected through the Ethernet, it will not be possible to connect it through wireless. The printer cannot be configured with both the Ethernet and the wireless function enabled. The printer will choose the physical connection (Ethernet / LAN) over the wireless connection.
With a USB print server like this one, you can hook your printer to one of the wired ports on your router and it can be accessed by any connected computer. (There are other sources and adapter styles; I just picked this one as a sample. I've installed several of these and it works well.)
You can also share a printer on the network by installing it on a computer as a network printer and enabling printer sharing on that computer. But then that computer will need to be left on all the time for others to access the printer, and if people frequently use the printer it will slow down the computer for whoever is using it.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.
you need to change the high voltage power supply to fix this error i have found this to be the problem 98% of the time and i do csome 1200+ repairs on these printers a year
if the printer is kicking out all black pages a couple of things can cause this first open both front doors and remove the toner cartridge. leaving the lower front cover open slowly lower the top cover watch the charge roller as it lowers with the lid make sure it is comming down striaght. if it is replace the high voltage power supply

Could have a corrupt driver. Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
