Outdated I have been given a brand new "old" version of Gourmet Cooking Suite Deluxe Edition by Expert Brand Software/Activision. It is dated 2001, and I have been trying to get an update for it because it will not let me use the help features because they are outdated. I cannot, however, find any update for it and have serious doubts that this is even made any longer. Help would be lovely.

My wife has used Activision's

I would install it/run it on a 95/98 machine, print off all of your recipes and then use newer software that is windows 7 compatible. Here is one you may like:

I suspect that win 7 doesn't support this software. I am not familiar with win 7 but apparently you can install programs in XP mode which may well help you in this case

Can not load older software on new pc with windows 7

The software Broderbund 3D Home Architect Deluxe 5.0 might works with the earlier version of Windows and does not work with the latest version. Check out the system requirement for the software and its says its for windows 98, 2000 & Xp hence the updated drivers for the suite are not released hence it would not be able to install it on New windows version.

It the outdated operating system you have, XP is not compatible with any newer software versions.

are you sure you have the right version? check for it compatibility with vista or get its vista edition.....

It is common for extremely old versions of QuickBooks to not convert to new versions.

In this particular case, as with others, it may be necessary for Intuit to do the conversion, as the file may have to be taken through several older versions in graduated steps. There is also the possibility that the backup contains damage, and therefor cannot be converted up.
Intuit can provide guidance on entering opening balances in a new file.
