Question about Mitsubishi WT-46807 46" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Green Line Went away on vacation and came back to a green line down the left side as you look at it, of my tv. The line is about 3" wide. The tv was moved and my husband messed with different wiring set ups for DVD and surround sound before we left. Don't think this will matter but thought I would mention. Thank You!

A yellow line going down the left side of the television

you likely have the "screen size" option set to allow the TV determine the best size (3:4 , 16:9, ...). Set it manually to 16:9 for HD channels or 3:4 for low-def channels.

The line should go away. This is a common problem on Samsung, Sony (Green line right side) and Phillips (yellow line left side).

Green vertical line on videocon 42inch plasma tv

Hello Depending how wide the line is their could be two possible causes.
I have two questions for you.
1. How wide is the line.
2. Does it run from top of screen to bottom of screen?
If the line is thin a single strait line then it is possible the PDP has gone Bad (Panel). (Screen). The screen will to be replaced.
If the line is at least 2 or more inches wide then its a buffer board which can be replaced. LG calls this board Hand insert Boards or display driver boards..

it you have a repair skills you need to open the TV and make sure all the ribon connectors around the circuit boards are proper connected
and if all seems to be ok, the DG board will need to be replaced.

try changing the resolution to 720. You'll need to do this from either your cable box or your direct tv receiver and not from the tv. Hope this helps. Let me know how you make out. [email protected]
