I have a finePix 3800 Zoom error : wont correct itself
I turned on the camera to take photos and it was between settings with out my noticing. It began to move the lens out to shoot as usual and I went to zoom in for the shot and up popped the zoom error message. When I tried to shut off the camera to reset it as it directed me to in the manual, it shut off but did not fix the problem. I also tried to remove the batteries for 6 hours and that did not help either

Hi, This problem is related to the malfunctioning of zoom motor, Two possibilities are there, 1- If company provides technical help on component leve in your regionl then zoom motor may replace. 2- If component level support is not available then LENS ASSEMBLY must be replaced. Contact your nearest fuji service centre or contact any expert nearby for the specific part replacement. Thanks for using fixya.
The lens Is trying to close properly but the focus mechanism has a problem, most likely jammed, so the lens cannot correctly close or work properly.
It will need to be opened up and reset.
Please email me. My email address is listed in my tips section on my profile.
Does the lens still move correctly?
if so, sounds like you've got a case of the popping clip.
either way I have photos to show how to solve

Turn Camera off remove batteries for a few moments. Re insert batteries. Turn on will reset itself. Ensure you use correct focus settings as per instructions. If you dont use correct settings this problem will reoccur.
the problem was I did't configure the exposure correctly for work in manual mode
I mean I set the aperture and speeds correctly so that the camera is able to take a good picture For example I try to set the speed at 125th of a sec. and the aperture at f8. So now I can take good pictures.
thanks.
The date time problem ist he internal battery[ A watch type button inside the camera body] has worn out- replacing it will be a workshop job. The other problem seems like wear and tear on the switch any repair will be costly. Just live with[out]it- or buy a new camera
Pressing the “MENU/OK” button as you would to erases files. There is an option to format the xD-Picture Card. Formatting erases protected files, but allows you to then take photos.
