Will Not Heat

I have a Fujitsu Split System Air Con - the outside unit is a AOT18RNEL and inside unit a AST18RBA-W. The outside unit appears to be running fine, the pipes are hot but there is no heat coming out of the wall unit. I have cleaned all the filters and it still will not heat the room.

Thanks for that, much appreciated. I checked and the fan outside IS running so does that suggest the compressor may NOT be working?? I am really hoping there is something I can do to rectify this before calling a professional.

    Thanks again

On the outdoor unit the fan should not be running, on the indoor unit the fan should be running. If you then check the outdoor unit with fan not running, you should be able to hear clearly that the compressor is actually working. If this is all correct, it is possible that your fourway reverse valve is seeping and needs to be replaced.

What you can try before calling someone, is to change from heating to cooling and then back again. But when you change to cooling make sure you adjust the setpoint temperature to low (18c) and when you change back to heating set it back up again to 30 just to check. If you get someon to do the changing of settings indoors while you stand outside and listen to what is going on at the outdoor unit. Do not be in a hurry when changing over, it can take up to five minutes for delay timers to switch over. But when this happens you should hear a click and hissing sound as the valve changes over. If that happens and you are still not getting heating, you may just need a bit more refrigerant. ps. no the fact that the fan is running is possibly indicating that the unit is not correctly set to heating mode, check your remote settings.

I have a split-type aircon (brand: LG) with remote control. It has power and display when i put on batteries. but the aircon unit does not respond to the remote control. what do i do to fix this?...

Lift the front cover of the air con, on the right hand side there is a button or a hole which has a button inside which you can press which is for manual starting of the air con. If this works, then you will know the remote is faulty, if it still doesn't work, check that the isolator switch for the air con hasn't been turned off. There will be 9Or should be) a switch outside next to the air con outdoor unit to switch power on / off to the air con. If not, there should be switch inside the meter box at the front of the house. Make sure they are switched on.

Ticking Noise in my Fujitsu Mini Split Indoor Unit

does the ac continue to make the noise even in fan only mode or is only in cooling mode. If only in cooling then it could be a gas related problem or blocked coil.

My outside toshiba split system is leaking a lot of water

If the unit is on heat mode, the outside unit is the "cold" end... Sometimes if the ambient air temperature is very cold ( Under 5 degrees C), the outdoor unit can start to ice up. If it ices up too much, the air con will automatically go on to a defrost cycle where the outdoor unit will heat up and melt the ice. Water is then drained out the bottom.. its the opposite of what happens in the summer when the indoor unit has water running out of the drain hose. Especially on humid days..

We have a fujitsu air con model ast9lsbcw which blows cold air from the outside unit and the inside unit is not cooling the room.

Sounds like you have it in heating mode or it is low on charge. In cooling mode, the outside fan should blow hot air not cold.

I have a Fujitsu Split air-con system - have power, but the maintenance and timber lights are flashing but unit not working - have cleaned the filters, changed the batteries to remote control unit.

Try to disconnect the supply from circuit breaker for 10sec. and "on" again, if it doesn't work you need at qualified technician for that problem.
