SOURCE: JVC KD-R200 won't power up for more than 5 seconds

Check your wires they might be touching steel around your car mostly look at your yellow and red wires those are the 1' that give it power and light to your radio also check your radio fuse in the back.

Check your speakers and speaker wires to make sure there are no shorts or grounds. If the speakers and speaker wires check out, you probably have a bad internal output ic.

How to troubleshoot kd-r300

If your player didn't after you correctly connected to the power then it will be better if you take it to the nearest repairing center. If your player is under warranty, i think they will charge to fix it cos you broke the warranty by connecting to the wrong way.

JVC KD-AVX1. The head unit will not "turn on" when the power button is pushed. The display just stays off. The face lights up when you press the eject button and opens up and you are able to feed...

is this a headunit you have just installed? if not then I am not sure, but if it is, try swapping the red and yellow wires over. One should have permanent live, the other should be switchable. (unless you want the headunit to stay on when the ignition is off, in which case put them both to a permenant live feed.)
Hope this helps.

JVC KD-R610 is stuck in Protect mode

Try disconnecting your battery, reconnecting it, and resetting your stereo. If that doesn't work, the constant power (yellow wire) or ignition wire (red wire) may have come in contact with ground or isn't properly connected. Make sure everything is connected properly and try resetting your stereo. If it is still flashing "protect", the unit needs servicing Contact JVC Customer Care Center at: 800-252-5722.

Just installed KD-SH55 JVC in Tahoe myself, no lights on but ejec

if it has a face plate and most after market radios do then it may not have a good connection check and make sure it does maybe even clean them with alcohol also make sure you got a good ground it may not have enough power to come on all the way (<-- rarely is the case) but it sounds like a bad radio
