I think its the fact that the speakers are pretty tiny, even tho BOSE has proved that size doesnt matter. i will agree i have a descent size home and i have to max it out all the time to watch a movie
just a design flaw IMHO.

Hi Joey - I had exactly the same problem.
In my case, I followed the advice of others and took the thing apart. On the main amp board there is a large brown capacitor. Mine had come completely loose, so I soldered it back in place with a good amount of solder to make sure the contacts were ok. I also dabbed some solder on the headphone connectors on the same board (just follow the wire from the headphone socket to the board). Well, when I put it back together and tried it again everything worked perfectly, and it has so far remained free from the error. Hope that helps !

Like above, use an optical connection (need fiber optic cable) or a coaxial connection (single RCA cable). HDMI might also work, but I personally haven't checked. Connect the audio outs from the cable box to the audio ins on the home theater. The TV will only need a video connection from the cable box, as well as one from the home theater (for DVDs, onscreen menus).
This discussion can help you set up the universal remote.

Check DAV amp menu and select DTS surround or any other digital sound option.

It's probably a user setting problem.
You don't say if you're listening to native multichannel soundtracks as intended (AFD Direct) or if you're manipulating them with one of the simulated soundfields. Simulations only go so far toward reality and they always insert artifacts.
Take a look at the Troubleshooting section in the manual. Voice tracks are mostly center-channel related.
Testimonial: "Have set it back to AFD Direct though one of the DVD's still sounds the same. Maybe it's the DVD. Thank you for your help."
