Memory Card Format Fail

Ive bought a Lexar SD Memory Card and formatted it according to the instructions. Now when I turn the camera on it shows 'Format Fail' and my only option is to delete all files. I have tried formatting this numerous times but will not work. The memory card has been used successfully on my friends Pentax Optio camera so nothing wrong with the card. Help.

Hi I think its a compatibility issue. Try formatting it using your camera. else format it using Windows.

Never format a memory card using windows. Always use the camera to format it.
In genereal though, cards do not need formating before use, the camera will sort this out for you
