Connecting a sony home theater system

Could be just bad luck! It seems unlikely to me that the power supply would take nearly a year to destroy the T-con board!
You could get in touch with Toshiba to see if there is some kind of problem that is cropping up on this model that might cause failure in on the T-con.

I have looked up the infomation on your TV I noticed that your TV has two HDMI input plugs. Since your SONY BRAVIA is hooked up to one port, you need to buy another HDMI cable for your PS3. On your tv remote you should have an option to switch from video 1 to video 2 so then you can switch from the SONY BRAVIA to the PS3 the problem is you will only hear your PS3 Sound from you TV. If you want to hear your PS3 sound from your SONY BRAVIA you need to buy an optical cable (also called TOSLINK) to connect from your PS3 to the SONY BRAVIA.

If it is a new set up, make sure properall connector are properly connected. Have you tried removing the Bose just to isolate the trouble, just to pinpoint the source of that HUM. The sony is amplifying some unwanted signal.

Go to pg. 48 of Sony HT-7000Dh manual. Also I sogest to connect Coaxial Digital Audio Output from Toshiba TV to Sony receiver.
