SOURCE: need a lid for an oster 3200 food processor

The part number is: 112989-001-000
I searched bunerous sites for the part..... The first 7 sites say it was no longer available.

I finally found 1 site that makes sense and it does NOT say the part is no longer available :

I was leary of the way the URL looked but it appears ok. There is an 800 number on the linked page above that I recommend you call before placing an order on line. It also appears they are an official factory outlet company for Sunbean and Oster.

It won't go on. Nothing, no noise at all. Does not work

Can you check the safety switches. There are usualy a couple of spots that will cut off power to machine if the bowl is not installed properly. One is at the bottom usually a pin type of setup that tells it the bowl is installed and then a lock on topto make sure the top is on properly. Check to make sure A it is installed properly B thatnone of thos pins have cracked therefor not doing it's job properly

My old mother has bought the Magimix 3200 but is not strong enough to open the lid once it is shut, actually most of the time I'm not strong enough. Can this be fixed?

Cuisinart Elite Food Processors don't require the twist action but the lid clips on, they are very easy to use with a number of great features including seal tight interlocking bowls, blade lock so the blade doesn't fall out when you're pouring out the results a pouring spout, plus a storage box for all of the blades:

The three most common sources of leakage are a worn/damaged gasket, a cracked jar, or a cracked blade assembly - all of these parts are available from Oster. If you are still under warranty, they might even be able to send whichever part you need for free. Their phone number is 1-800-334-0759 (they are owned by Jarden Consumer Solutions nowadays).
