I have my camera pluged in and the drivers are all instaled. I got a message that the camera was ready to use but i cant find the camera software that allows me to open the program and take pics.

Hi skeeter2552,

I have looked into your problem and have found the following.
I managed to find the manual to your Webcam here:

http://www.amazon.com/Veo-Stingray-Web-camera-color/dp/B00006B9YB

According to the manual the Webcam originally came with a CD-ROM which had the drivers for Microsoft Windows 98, 98SE, Me, or 2000. It also had software called 'The Veo Stingray Suite' which enabled capture of still images and video etc.

If you can find the CD-ROM and you have a later version of Windows than the above, then it may be possible to use the Veo Stingray Suite in compatability mode, however I'm not sure if that will work.

As the drivers have installed and you had a message that the Camera was ready to use then this is a good start. As your camera is on a USB port then most up-to-date software should recognize it.

For example if you have Windows Movie Maker on windows 7, there is a webcam capture button for recording video. You will probably find that Software like Skype will also see it okay. Also you could look for Freeware for webcams but as always check for Viruses etc.

I hope this has been helpful.
Kind Regards
mparkyn

Veo web cam

Normal 0 You need to go to the manufactures site and download the VISTA driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install the program.

Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Veo webcam problems

the problem lies with the driver of the cam particularly the capture execution file. removing the cam and uninstalling the driver from add/remove programmes, then reinstalling the driver software again should cure it and if possible use a different usb port if you have a spare.

My comptuer reboots when I isntall the software

If after installing your camcorder in XP, the computer is Rebooting on its own, the you must get a Windows update. This is NOT a Samsung Issue. It is a known Microsoft issue with XP. Run a Windows Update and download the update marked: KB822603, USB 1.1 & 2.0 update. This will fix the issue of rebooting. Reinstallation of device drivers may be necessary.
