I have a Fisher&Paykel washer, model GWL10US that will not start (no sign of electrical input) after I had stopped a spin cycle prematurely. I checked plug-in, cord, fuse box. Is there a reset button/switch somewhere?

Unplug it, wait a few minutes and plug it back in to reset.

Both of you most likely are getting a "RPS Sensor Fault"
On a GWL10, when the motor rotor position sensor fails, it will act exactly like you describe. Many techs incorrectly replace the machine control or the water inlet valve(s). The RPS sensor is much cheaper. If you consult the tech sheet located under the control panel, you will see the fault code for RPS failure and I would bet the farm that the sequence of LEDs displayed when your washer faults out matches exactly with the RPS fault code.

The RPS sensor for GWL10 and GWL11 models is a part # 420296P and canbe purchased direct from Fisher Paykel Parts:

The procedure to replace it is a little involved but a handy person can do it. It would be best to consult the factory service manual and again, that can be purchased from Fisher Paykel Parts direct here:

Hi Dale..
It sounds like you have a leaky inlet valve assembly. The part number is 421029P and is easy to replace. You can get one here:

Hi there
That fault is the pump blocked error (no change in water level).
i have a quick and easy way to solve this problem.

first turn the machine off then tilt the machine back and lean it on something(a chair or wall), look underneath, in the top right hand corner of the plastic outer boul you will see a small pump motor it has a fan on it spin this fan and if it is hard to turn that means there is somthing stuck in the drain pump keep turning the fan and try to free whatever is stuck in the pump, then try the machine on spin again all goin well the object in the pump should come out with the drain water(doing this will not harm the machine) if the object is still stuck you will need to get the water out of the machine (bailing or siphioning will work) and tilt the machine back again and take the wires off the pump and there should be a white tab on the boul holding the pump on pull this tab and twist the pump anticlockwise about a quarter turn(you will need a few towels or a boul or bucket to catch the water) and it should come off exposing the blockage.
Hope this solves your Problem.

SOURCE: My Fisher & Paykel GWL11 Washer starts beeping

Hi

The washer is detecting error while it enters wash cycle. You can try and enter the diagnostic mode & check if it resolves the issue. If it doesn't then you would need check for the fault codes.

To enter Diagnostic Mode turn the power on at the power point and off at the console. Press and hold the WASH TEMPERATURE DOWN then press the POWER button. Smartdrive will give 2 short beeps. Phase 1 & 2 Only press ADVANCE button once. From Diagnostic mode press the SPIN buttons until the HOLD and SLOW SPIN LEDs are on, (Diagnostic mode level 3). The WASH PROGRESS LEDs will now display the fault code.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need further assistance.
