Cx80, what does the code "rx" mean on the display

  • TX = Transmit. RX = Receive. Does your needle move when you key the mic? Does it modulate when you talk in the mic? Do you have an inline watt/SWR meter inline? What kind of a set up do you have? Mobile? Base? Get back to me if you want further help.

It has a great dead key but when I key up you can barely hear me talk. even with he mic gain turned all the way up

  • Hi, I can help.

  • If you have confirmed your dead key being "great" the the two things that can be causing your problem is a faulty mic, mic wiring, mic connector (either on the CB i=or the mic connector itself.
  • Have you tried a different mic?

  • The other thing would be a bad antenna, antenna connection, SWR.
  • Have you tried a different antenna? Checked your SWR (with an inline meter)? Make sure the antenna connector (PL259) and the connector for the antenna on your CB (SO239) are in good condition and that there are no cold soldier joints.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa.

When playing online on my xbox 360, my tritton 180 universal headset works, but ppl can't hear me talk. Help.

Hi,

Do you have the chat cable connected?

Is the mic turned off on the inline volume controller?

Is the Chat volume turned up on the inline volume controller?

Test the microphone on a PC by plugging in the USB into a PC and test if it works.

If it doesn't then you can ask for a spare microphone from TRITTON / Madcatz.

If the mic works on the PC then the problem might be with the chat cable which you can also ask from TRITTON or Madcatz.

Hope it helps...

Radio fuse keeps blowing out

well you can put a bigger fuse in but your risking really messing something up. if it's blowing the same fuse over and over, then you need to move the positive wire. look up the wiring diagram for the car and find the positive wire going to your fuse panal, connect it to that with a 20amp inline fuse and you should be set.

Fuse keeps blowing

In my experience...if it blows the fuse as soon as you turn the key, under the flywheel, there is a stator that recharges the battery when the engine is running, remove the flywheel, in most cases the magnets under it are broken and are in direct contact with the stator. If that is the case, both must be replaced

Wont work

If you were blowing an inline fuse, what size was the fuse and how big did you go up? It's possible the has a short in it.
