From what you have described your Frigidaire washer will not drain or spin. I would recommend checking on the drain hose to make sure it is not restricted or too long. Also check to make sure your drain hose is not too far down your drain pipe. If the drain hose is in good condition it might be a possible problem with your timer or drain pump. Since it could any one of those underlying issues I would recommend having a professional technician out. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt
Hello friend, I appreciate your post!
Based off the information you have provided if your Frigidaire washer is draining and rinsing but not spinning it could be an issue with your timer or motor. I would reset your appliance by disconnecting power to it by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. If that does not work I would recommend having a technician out to the home to properly diagnose and repair the appliance, since it could be any one of these underlying issues. Hope this helps. -Matt
The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.
Take off the lower panel. Inspect the shocks too see if they are damaged. If they are OK turn the wash basket by hand if the knock is heard then most likely you have a broken wash basket.
My Frigidaire front loader washer model LTF2140E doesnt want to drain the water when set to wash (heavy-normal-quick selectors). It washes put thats it. I have to switch the selector to drain/spin then rinse/spin cycle to finish the load. I checked the drain hose for any clogs....everything is clear. Any suggestions? Also,iIs their any reset buttons for this type of washer?
