There should be a reset button on bottom of laptop....if not...remove battery, power supply plug and remove the mbottom panels....under one of them is a battery the size of one of two....either 6mm in diametre or one of 22mm in diametre...remove it and leave laptop for about 5 min....remove memory, touch the memory's golden edges briefly with your fingers to discharge charge in memeory.put everything together...should solve your problem.

The best and quickest improvement is to add more RAM. Add another 512 Mb of RAM. If you already have a 512 Mb of RAM module then add another 512 Mb RAM module. If your laptop has 2X256 Mb RAM modules then you need to remove these and insert 2X512 Mb RAM modules.
The reason why you have 504 Mb RAM is that the video card has grabbed 8Mb of RAM off the main memory.
Nowadays, motherboards supports only a selected number of RAMs. You have to read the manual and select from the given models.
I am not talking about DDR2 or 667MHz. The manual will state the manufacturer (ex. Kingston) model no (KVR667XXXXXX) etc. Only those stated in the manual will work correctly with your motherboard.
If you remove the 1GB memory that you were trying to install and it will boot, then it is your new memory that is not compatible. Check here for what memory will be compatible with your laptop.
try removing it again power on then off. again put yr ram it should boot. less u want to may be remove the processor then put it back as well at times they could stop system from booting
still it is not working
