Have you tried it with another card? If so then your problem is the zyxel card which I would say stop using. The fact is Zyxel does not make these things they roll off lots of these cards in China and Taiwan and companies put their brands on them, so you are never quite sure of the quality. and yes this is with the majority of these cards. Some companies have better quality control then others and some don't I would say to return this card and exchange it for another one. You might get one that works. That's all I have to say.

Visit your graphic card manufacturer website to get the latest drivers/software for it. If your graphic card is embedded within the motherboard - visit the motherboard website and download the appropriate driver.
The latest tools/updates for Windows can be download from the Windows Update website.

do a system restore (start/accessories/system tools/system restore) restore it to a date when your connection last worked correctly.

Network Connections are Gone!

I would check in device manager (control panel) and see if the network card is listed. It probably has a yellow exclamation point next to it.
If there is an exclamation point there, then right click the card and click uninstall.
Next, using your wifi to access the internet, download the latest network card driver from the PC vendor website / Motherboard vendor site / discrete network card site.
Install the network card driver and you should be back in business.

I went to the Proxim website (www.proxim.com) to see if I could find info on the card, but Proxim looks like they make you register before you can get any information.

You probably just need a Vista driver. Go to the Proxim site, register, and see if one is available.

Good luck.

Remove the card and install in a different pci slot,it may be a problem with the way windows is giving the pci slot the startup request. Just also double check that the correct driver is being recognised and not a windows generic driver. Look in device manager on hardware tab and see if there is a 'x' or an exclamation mark (!) against the wireless card.
