I have the same tv and cant figure out how to purposely turn the aux on. ( It always goes on aux when I'm channel surfing, and don't want it that way.)
It should be either ch 3 or 4, BUT the VCR must be turned on and in the "vcr" mode. There may also be an way that you can switch between tuner and Video on the VCR, it would need to be in video mode.
I had a similar problem with a 1994 vintage Broksonic TV. I called the company (Hatzlachh Supply Inc. @ 800-333-9099). Broksonic TVs are not compatable with any universal remotes! You need an original factory remote. Remote for my set cost $20.00 plus shipping for a total of $24.95.
