If there are images on your camera that you want off, put your memory card in. They camera will usually switch to your memory card. You must go to setup on your camera and switch it to internal memory. Once you have switched, review one of your pictures on your internal memory and bring up your menu. It should have a option that says "copy" or "copy all" to memory card. Push your okay button and they pictures should transfer. Now you have copies on your card and your camera. After you have done this, you can delete your pictures that are on your camera.

I can't take any more pictures because my EasyShare Z981 says my "internal memory is full." How can I fix my camera so I can continue taking pictures?

I'm assuming you have a memory card inserted into your camera? You can use SD or SDHC cards up to 32GB in size. Then, if you look in your camera's manual (direct link if you don't have yours... http://resources.kodak.com/support/pdf/en/manuals/urg01118/Z981_xUG_GLB_en.pdf ) you can see on page 36 how to copy an image from your internal memory onto a memory card. Also, on page 45 you can learn how to use the menu to tell the camera to use the memory card instead of the internal memory. Good luck!

I have panasonic lumix DMC ZX1. when trying to take pictures it says pictures will be stored in inbuilt memory inspite sd card being inserted in right place and empty.

Welcome to FixYa.

Before using the memory card, it should be fromatted. Possible reason is memory card is not yet formatted for camera use.

*Note: Use the camera itself when formatiing the camera. Using PC's or another camera in formatting the memory card may cause a "CARD ERROR" message.

If the switch on the card is set to "LOCK"; operations such as formatting, recording and deleting cannot be performed.

Please let me know if you have any questions and if this solution was helpful.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I uploaded my pictures from my memory card onto the computer. When I put the card back into my camera, the camera won't read the memory card and it says the internal memory is full (12 pictures). How do...

If you indeed have the pictures on your computer (and are safely stored)... you might try selecting the format memory card function in the camera, to reformat the card, in case it was somehow corrupted while connected to the computer.

Memory card

yes, my camera offers that option too. I can either shoot/store the images onto the camera directly OR onto a memory card. And I use the memory card. Generally the camera storage is pretty small. To find the setting, explore the cameras menu. It's there somewhere. Consult your book or do a search online.
