1) pull chassis--replace both convergence IC's for reliability. 2)Never manually move yoke rings unless yoke and/or CRT are replaced. 3)Solder any/all bad connects, esp.jumper wire connectors supplying B+ to convergence circuitry. 4)Re-check alignment.
Your convergence amp ic's./if you want to cheat/align the other two colors and manualy move the green yoke rings on the green picture tube neck so the green cross aligns with the red and blue.,they shuold form white when all three are aligned,on top of each other.
Blue convergence IC is bad! Blue CRT OK!
Required for repair---pull chassis,replace STK392-110 X 2.
Re-assemble,adjust convergence as needed.

Right now, the red and blue are together, but the green cross will not move and the red and blue crosses will not move that far to the green one. Does this require removing the back panel of the TV and some how realigning it? I don't know much about how these tv's work. I have access to the convergence set up in the menu of the TV. It asks me to select red or blue to align, but there is no green align. Right now the convergence screen looks like this +(red & blue together) and green is about a half of a cross to the right.
Any ideas?
red convergence problem: red vertical convergence will not move
I think i have a similar problem. A week ago all the colors got unaligned and after manually doing convergence, i was able to get the green and blue to align, but the red would not fully align. Also when I run the automatic convergence setup, after it completes it states "convergence error". Mainly the red is out of alignment.
I have seen couple of solutions which state that I need to replace some IC's. Is there some document/manual that specifies what I need to replace. Could somebody give me some suggestions on what I need to do or point me to a forum post that already covers the issue I'm having. If somebody has a link to the manual that would be great. My email address is [email protected]. I would hate to send this thing to the landfill, if its something simple to fix, its a great tv.
Thanks in advance.
