This is a common dns error with playstation. try entering the following in your ps3. Settings - Network Settings -
internet connection settings - custom - wired or wireless depending on
your internet - manual settings - IP address manual - enter your ip
address and your router address and change your dns primary
Goto the command prompt bar in the start menu type ' cmd ' then click o.k . A black dos screen will appear type in ' ipconfig/all ' and it will the the two servers you need under dns servers but if your doing a wired connection to your ps3 then you need to manually configure your dns on the custom method of setting up your internet connection on your ps3 as if this is auto config that will give you a dns error. Hope that helps ,I can go into more detail and guide you through it if need to .
O.K.
I had just had that little problem out of nowhere 2 days ago!
First off Reboot the Modem, then the Router.
When they are done turn on the PS3.
In the PS3 Menu go to the 2nd Row from the Left and Down to Network Settings.
Choose your setup Wired or Wireless.
Choose DHCP and AUTO all the way through.
If you are Wireless you will need your CODE!
When done wait a minute then run the Network test right below in the Menu.
You should be Good!
This should reset your Network Automatically!
try mving your ps3 around into verous places around the room and try to find an internet connecion. you can go to settings, network settings, then settings and connection status list and it will show you how much internet you have.
it sounds like you need to keep using your usb modem to connect to the internet. then setup internet sharing on the computer and connect the wireless router to the network plug on the computer.....
then basically you are sharing the internet to the plug on the back of the pc into the router and then wirelessly out to the network and PS3
The 80710102 problem is caused by a DNS error, which basically means that your PS3 is trying to navigate the Internet without knowing where it needs to go.
If you follow the link below I have written an in-depth (and free) article about how to fix PS3 DNS errors and get rid of the 80710102 code on your console.
DNS error 80710102 D-Link router
