Receiver not recognized by computer

When I first got the mouse it worked great (once). The next time I tried to connect the reciver my computer all the sudden doesn't recognize the device. The mouse is fine, it's just the receiver that will not light up, no green light at all.

The green LED on this reciever is also a button. Press the LED on the reciever with a small blunt object (pencil will work) and then press the "connect" button on the bottom of the mouse. The green LED should come on, and restore the connection between the reciever and the mouse.

Onn Wireless Mouse has stopped working. What do I do?

Mine would work fine until I turned on my wireless headphones...then the mouse would move a little stop.....move a little....then stop.

I made sure my headphones were on.

I turned off the mouse, moved the mouse reciver to a USB port on the front of my computer (the mouse reciver and the headphone receivers were next to each other on the back of the computer). I turned the mouse back on.

The computer imediately gave me the "installing USB driver" notification.

When it was complete....both played nicely together...no more problems.

On some computers, the mouse will work as soon as it is plugged in, while on others you'll need to manually set the connection. To do this, plug the USB receiver into the computer, then press the Connect button on the receiver. Once the lights start flashing, press the Connect button on the bottom of the mouse. (Make sure the mouse is turned on first.) It should now make the connection.

Hope that helps!

Spyder mouse won't work

I had a similar problem. I corrected by performing a manual connect as listed in the manual that came with the mouse.
Manual reconnect:
1. Plug in the receiver.
2. Turn on the mouse.
3. Press the button on the receiver.
4. Press the connect button on the mouse once within five seconds of pressing the button on the receiver.

This worked for me, and the mouse has worked fine since.

If this doesn't work. The manual suggested taking the batteries out of the mouse for 20 seconds and unplugging the receiver, then repeat the steps above.
If that doesn't work. reboot the computer and repeat the steps above.

Hope this helps.

I have a dell wireless mouse and it used to connect with my computer and work fine. I've had it almost a year but now it will not connect to my dell laptop. The light on my laptop and on the mouse will...

Most wireless keyboards and mice have their own wireless receivers (one that should be connected to the computer). The wireless receiver usually has a connect button that you need to press in order for you to connect the keyboard or the mouse. Try holding down the connect button on the receiver and on the keyboard at the same time for five seconds and release them both after five minutes.

If that work, do the same for the mouse.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

Targus mouse not recognized

What is the OS of your computer? This Targus mouse would work with Win 98, Win 2000 and Win XP. Vista was not mentioned. And if you are running Windows Vista for you laptop, then that could be the reason why it was not recognized by the computer.

Is this the wireless optical mouse? If yes, you need to follow the steps below to isolate the problem:

1. Connect the USB receiver into different USB ports of the computer.
2. Replace the batteries with the fresh ones.
3. Try connecting the mouse into different computer to see if you've got a defective mouse.

If you've tried everything and got the same problem, you may need to refer to the manufacturer, because I'm not sure if this mouse is a Plug-n-Play device or if it needs a driver.

Have a great day!

It's not working right....

The BenQ M310 mouse needs to "sync" with the USB receiver. Need to push the two buttons at the same time, or maybe the one in the mouse first then push the button in the USB receive so the two can "sync" to each other. This may solve this problem. Good luck!
