Question about JVC HX-D7 DVD Compact Stereo Audio / Video System with 5 DVD Changer Shelf System
Hello, I have another suggestion: if it's a ' whisteling noise' coming from the sub woofer,it could also be air coming from a part of the subwoofer enclosure it's not meant to,check to see if a part of the enclosure has a crack,>or< where the glue has cracked away,( a port is a good starting point: also check : if the port is glued in,check to make sure the glue in the port hasn't broken away)also check if the subwoofer faces out, where you can see it,check to see that it still has all the screws attatched, whisteling can happen >if< a screw,or screws have fallen out,or have come loose. I hope I can be of assistance.

Do you mean that when your sub woofers are working, there is a whistling type sound coming out of your ported box? is this sound coming out of the port? If it is, this simply means that the port was not properly made, and is actually acting as a whistle. If the port is a removeable plastic one, check to see if it has the flared end (like a trumpet or trombone) on the internal end of the port (inside the box) if it doesnt, go to your local stereo shop and see if they can get you ones that have flares. Sharp edges anywhere in an opening that air passes through will act like a whistle. Annoying isnt it?
