When I turn the TV on with the remote it shuts off after 3-10 seconds. I then need to unplug the TV and plug it back in at which time in turns back on for 3-10 seconds. I need to keep repeating this unplugging process from 2 to 15 times before the TV stays on for good. This is very fustrating to say the least. Any help is appreciated.

Re: TV turns off
It sounds like you might either have a bad power cord or you might have an over heating issue. Some times the TV will automatically shut off if it senses a fan issue or it starts to overheat.
What technology is your set? DLP, LCOS, DILA...?
If its under warranty I'd suggest to get someone out asap to take a look at it.

unplug from electric, wait 30 seconds, plug back in. Check that you have power at the outlet (fuse/breaker shut off?) If it has a power word which plugs into the TV as well as the wall, be SURE it is tightly attached to BOTH. Make sure you aren't blocking the remote control receiver (you can turn most TVs on/off on the TV itself -- look for a power button). Be sure your remote has fresh batteries. Good luck!
That blue K means you are in the service mode. Unplug your set and wait 30 seconds. Then at the same time you plug it back in, you need to be holding the volume down button and the input button.
The TV should turn back and the blue K should turn pink. Once this happens, press the volume and channel down button at the same time. A menu should come on the screen. With your remote, press the up arrow to reach the nest page. The first option should say INIT. Arrow to the right and hit enter. In a few seconds your screen should turn green and say success. Unplug the TV and wait 30 seconds. Plug the set back in and turn on your TV. You can then set your set back the way you want.
