Hi, I recieved a fax and didn't have the paper in correctly. Now I'm getting a message that says the fax is in memory. How do I retrieve it? Thank you!

Fax memory full

To gain extra memory, you can turn off Fax Storage OR Print fax messages in memory (See Setting Fax Storage, page 48.) OR Expand the machines memory.
Retrieve or Erase a Fax
Press 9 6
then to
Retrieve all faxes Press 2, then enter the number of remote fax machine and then press # #. After
the beep, hang up and wait.
Erase all fax messages Press 3. If the data stored in the memory has not been printed before, it will be printed first and then erased.

Setting Fax Storage
If you set Fax Storage to ON, you will be able to retrieve fax messages from another location, using Fax Forwarding or Remote Retrieval functions. The screen will indicate when you have a fax stored
in memory.
1 Press Menu, 2, 5, 2.
2 Press left arrow or right arrow to select ON (or OFF), and press Set when the screen displays your selection.
3 Press Stop/Exit.

If there are faxes in memory when you turn the Fax Storage OFF, the screen prompts you to erase any faxes in memory.
If you press 1, all fax data is erased and Fax Storage is turned OFF. If the fax data in memory has not been printed before, it will be printed first, and then erased. If you press 2, data is not erased, and Fax Storage remains ON.

The alarm keeps flashing and the message says there is a paper jam. I cannot find a paper jam, but the fax cannot retrieve items in memory either.

  1. Remove the cartridge look inside is there any paper rmove it carefully
  2. remove the paper from cassette
  3. load the paper again

We are not receiving faxes..we keep getting error code 407..Please help? Thank you.

The message means:

407 No confirmation from the receiving station for the
previous page sent.
Wait a few minutes and send again.

This can mean 2 things

1) you have not set your fax machine to recieve faxes

2) you need to have your fax machine serviced because the part that makes it pickup a fax has malfuctioned

Clean all paper paths with paper path cleaner.
Unplug and then after 10 seconds replug the fax machine and do a test recieve for it

If all else fails, you may need to call a service person to repair or replace the broken or defective part that recieves faxes.

take out the paper or toner and the faxes will recieve in memory!Its the only time it will go to memory!

How to retrieve incoming faxes stored in memory? display still shows "load paper" after paper is loaded; are the two problems related? Thanks.

Yes and u need to press stop on the m/c or clean the grey roller at the back where u put in your recieving paper!

All recieved faxes going straight to memory

Either it needs toner/drum unit replaced or it's hungry for paper....is it displaying an error code?

FAX 560 Brothers displays message "Memory Full"

Do you have faxes in memory? You may need to either erase faxes in memory or print them out.
Printing a Fax in Memory
If you have Fax Storage ON for remote retrieval, you can still print a fax in the
memory when you are at your machine:
1 Press Function/Set, 8, 4.
2 Press Start.
3 Press Stop.

well try to check and correct if the paper was not properly inserted, and kindly see/check if you got an status message "recieving" on the fax...

UF 585 Fax Machine Message in memory

if its only a few % like 1, 2, or some thing its probably nothin retrievable, you can have a tech come and clear it but if all else is working and the mssage in mem file dosent keep growing try and ignore it till next service
