SOURCE: Hi I just finished building my

This is because you either don't have any windows loaded or else the hard disks are not being recognized by the system.

otherwise if windows is present then the MBR Master boot record is damaged.

try reinstalling windows.

SOURCE: xp could not find sata hard disk

the driver is not included in the driver cab on the xp and server 2003 disks, you will need to download the drivers and put them on a floppy disk (usb floppy if you do not have an internal drive) then as the blue setup screen is loading press F6 to load the drivers.

SOURCE: Sata ports & mic is not detecting

lack of earthing in the power supply does cause hardware failure. Kindly check the earthing.

Regarding your mic and hard drive, I think you need to replace it with a new one.

Better get it reviewed by an H/W engineer.

Peace!

I have a Packard Bell iMedia 2350 that uses the Gigabyte motherboard GA-K8VM800MNF. I have replaced the IDE hard disk with a sata drive. The bios does not see the hard disk and now I am trying to find

I don't think updating the bios will change anything, it's just updates for processors if you look here: Bios Update.

Motherboard Manual here

I don't know which drive you have and your's is a gigabyte board but some motherboards have a problem finding sata2 drives even though the drives are supposed to be backwards compatible. Read this asus board

I can't install win xp pro. on my G41MT-S2P..i always get "a disk error has occured" prompt

This model motherboard does not use IDE/PATA hard drives.
The problem is that XPinstallation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on adisk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then,XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP. The FIX. Go into the BIOS anddisable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is aIDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows hasbeen installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver),then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive. http://www.fixya.com/support/r4335035-installing_windows_xp_sata_hard_drive

Please would you help me with this problem? Monitor shouting of every hour and PC stand on, when I restart monitoor dont react and led of dvd room and power are on, and sistem can not start even BIOS?

One bad lead will cause your computer to shut down or continue in a cycle
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to your hard drive
hope this helps

VIRUS CRASHED COMPUTER.COMPUTER MADE BY FOXCONN .I HAVE WINDOWS XP PRO. IT ALSO HAS THE GA-8IPE1000 MOTHER BOARD NEED NET WORK DRIVER & SOUND

Gigabyte have good online support. Go to their website download center and select Driver on the left hand side. You will be asked questions about your product and taken to the drivers for that motherboard. You can then choose the ones you need to reinstall.

My motherboard can;t detect my harddisk.....

Hi modjoguy, the bios must see your SATA hard disk before windows can see your SATA hard disk drive. To check this please press the delete key every two seconds as soon as you power on the system. (Note 1: Some motherboards that do not show the SATA II drive while in the bios may need its jumper set to SATA I in order for the bios to see the SATA drive). (See the drives large white sticker on the hard disk drive for SATA I location of jumper).
(Note 2: Gigabyte GA-K8VM800M rev 2.x & Gigabyte GA-K8VM800M-RH motherboards use the same manual). The Gigabyte GA-K8VM800M rev 1.x manual is slightly different, thus page numbers differ from the other two above.
Here is the link for all three: http://www.giga-byte.com/Search/Search_List.aspx?Keyword=K8VM800M&SearchType=Spec
The bios main menu will open. Open your manual (rev2.0 & RH) to page 38 & read under the listing, "IDE Channel 2/3 Master". The idea is your SATA drives should be listed at 2/3.
Once they are seen you need to open Advanced BIOS Features page 40. You can load the advanced bios features by pressing "Ctrl+F1" keys. You must list the SATA drive you want as the primary hard disk drive (Usually its the model number of the drive), that will have windows installed on it.

Good luck modjoguy!

Gigabyte GA-8IPEI000 pro-g DDR2?

Sorry your board does not support DDR2 memory. The dimm slots that you mention above are only showing you which slot is number one & number two. This does not mean the memory is DDR2. See your spec's at this link.
