Canon Powershot G2 - Looking at pics on PC

1. Try to format the card in the camera. It should give an error when faulty.
2. Put the card in a pc with cardreader and download this testprogram.
3. Run this program to test the memorycard.
4. Delete afterwards the test contents or re-format it.

push the card into the cardreader in your laptop and copy directly as it is detected. If you do not have one in your computer then you will need a card adapter to a USB to download.

You have to connect your camera to PC first of all and if it is not connecting to pc via cable then use the cardreader to fix the problem

Your camera may not be able to take a card that big...check your owner's manual.

I have used zoom browser for two years to download pictures from my canon powershot SD1000 digital elph. I installed Uniblue updates for speedupmypc and twicker. now my pictures will not download. Is there a connection with uniblue, is it a coincidence ? How can I fix this problem? Scoc

I had same problem. Called Canon and found out A40 is not compatible with Vista so there is no driver. But you can download pics to your Vista by purchasing USB Memory Card Reader/Writer you can find at Walmart for about $12.00. You put your Flash card in device and has USB that plugs in computer for downloading pics.

try to back up pics on the card first and reformat it..

it is very simple when u connect ur camera to pc through data cabel u seen dat dere is some driver automatically u need not ny software to connect to ur pc...
if u r using windows xp....
when u connect it automatically ask u to copy images......
if it not ask then u hv to transfer ur picture through cardreader...
connect cardreader wid pc n copy all pics..
but it can be used to transfer only ur memorycard pictures..

I just repaired my Canon G2 with the same symptom.  The internal PCB that you plug the external AC adapter is defective.  The numbers on the board are:

1.Reformat the card in the camera. 2 If you have a computer, cinnected the camera or put it into the cardreader Download PCInspector from www.convar.com and see what the program willpull out of the card. Then carry out one. 2. Buy another card.
