Kwikset locks are inexpensive because they do not have replaceable parts. Buy a new one.

By the time the lock breaks, it's probably time to get different keys, but if you have so many keys in the hands of people you cannot contact, or you have more than three other locks keyed alike, and you must have the new lock work with the same keys as before, the place where you buy new locks probably has someone who can rekey the new lock to your old keys. Kwikset also sells locks that you can rekey to other Kwikset keys yourself. They are more expensive than other locks of the same type, but could save money long term, especially if you find a need to rekey your locks a lot (lots of visitors, part-time tenants or roommates, your kids lose their keys a lot, etc.)

SOURCE: I have Kwickset door knobs on my outside doors. I

Hi,
The instructions they send are almost always generic and cover more than one subject.
If you insert the key and turn it all the way clockwise, you should be able to insert the tool tip they sent you into the hole on the shank part of the handle. Pull straight out and it should come off. Some times it takes several attempts to do.
Next turn key counter clockwise back to starting position and remove key. Dump lock out of handle, paying attention to orientation. Turn lock 180 degrees and reinsert back into handle. Put lock and handle back on to door and reinsert the key. Turn key clockwise and push.... remove key.

Hope this Helps,

My oven door has come apart, its a Bellissimo Technika. The handle fell off which made the glass front of the door come away from the rest of the door. I cannot see how the glass front can be put back...

I just fixed this. You have to screw the door handle back on to the glass panel. When you are screwing it back, theres two square black plastic washers with a lip. Make sure the lip is facing up when you have tightly screwed the handle back. When yo rejoin the glass panel with the metal oven door panel, make sure you push tight and the lip of the washers will slot into the metal lip on the outside of the door. You should hear a click, and it'll be back on.

The entrance door handle on my coleman natache pop up camper fell apart. I bought a new one and when I attempted to unscrew the 2 screws that I thought were holding the handle to the door, the screws just...

I also have the same problem. The only way to get into the panel (without completely tearing it apart is to drill out the rivets across the top of the door. The reason the screw is turning is because inside it's held in place with a nut that is turning. You can get to those nuts once the top panel is removed. Can you do me a favor? Where did you find your replacement handle? I've been looking everywhere and it would be SO helpful to be pointed in the right direction!

Handles fell off of the top oven door on maytag gemini glass top

Open the door a few inches, to the first hold-open stage. Lift the door upward & off the mounting bars. There will be screws along the bottom edge.

Door lock assembly broken, rod assembly fell apart

There is a cheap plastic retainer on the end of the rod that holds it to the handle. Get a Wheel color from a RC airplane hobby shop and use it to hold the rod on the handle. Works better than the original clip. You don't need to take the door apart for this, you can usually reach the rod after removing the interior latch handle.
