Xerox Phaser 8400 prints pdfs in half page

I've seen this issue on some of my other Xerox machines (not the 8400 specifically). 9 times out of 10 the solution is to update both the printer driver to the newest version, as well as updating Adobe Reader to the newest version.

Here are the links to each:

What is the Xerox Phaser 8400 printer error code 07.010.43:43923? Much appreciated. Thank you.

Try this:

The printer has encountered an error state without the benefit of a code. Turn the printer off for 30 seconds, then power back on.
If the Printer Error message returns, press the i button on the printer's front panel. The actual error or fault number should be displayed. Note the error or message and search the knowledge base for the error.

Also:

Based on the problem description provided, we have determined that your printer needs service.

Error message Xerox Phaser 8400 07.010.43.4819

The post was a little confusing. You have an 8400, correct? (not an M20)

The 07,010 error is normally a bad process motor 401-1000-80

You should also change 2 camshafts at the same time 401-1003-80 and 384-1874-80. The whole job is medium difficult and takes 2-3 hours.

Phaser 8400 Error Code 07.009.42:265696

Hi carlt322:
Here is your problem.

7,009.4x: PM_FAULT_HEADTILT_PARK_ ERROR
The printhead is tilted back but not in the park arms and restrained properly. This is due
to the wiper assembly not moving up far enough for the park arms to hold it.
1. Check the printhead heater wiring.
2. Check for an obstruction or damage in the process
gearbox. Ensure the gears are correctly aligned and
homed, see page 6-8. If faulty replace the process
gearbox assembly.
3. Run the Head Maintenance Clutch test, if it fails replace
the clutch.
4. Run the Wiper Drive test. If the test fails, inspect the
maintenance drive system.
5. Replace the exit assembly.

Hope this helps

Xerox phaser 8400 error

That is a print head tilt error. Either the print head pivot block is contaminated with ink or the wiper blade is tacked to the print head.
Let me know if you want to try to resolve it yourself, I will send you directions.

Moving printer across room/print head green flag hasn't raised

Did you remove the maintenance kit and waste tray? Sometimes, they hang up. By now, you've probably fired it back up and are running but, in this case, you want to do that quickly so that the ink doesn't have time to harden and stick the maintenance wiper to the printhead surface.
