I would like to program my remote control (Model: ZEN 525a)
However, I have tried several options in trying to program it, but to no avail. I have tried using the "code search". At times it does eventually turn off my TV but doesn't fully program it, even when I press "enter".
Can you please help me in finding a solution to programming this control?
Thanking you in advance for your time and consideration.

I noticed your post and see that your DISH remote needs to be programmed to your APEX TV. There are a couple of ways that your remote can be programmed to your TV. One option would be to use the remote code that is for your TV, these codes may vary depending on the model of your remote. The best option for you would be a Power Scan to get your remote programmed to your TV. Here are the steps.
1- While at the TV locations (TV1 or TV2 depending on which key is installed),
point the remote at the TV. Press and hold the TV MODE button on the remote
until all four MODE buttons at the top of the remote light up.
2- Press the RECEIVER POWER button on the remote.
3- Press the UP ARROW on the remote, about one press every two seconds. Stop as
soon as the TV turns off. This process may take several minutes.
4- Press POUND (#) on the remote. The TV MODE button will flash three
times.
5- Press TV POWER on the remote to turn on the TV. Press VOLUME on the remote
to confirm the remote controls the TV. If this does not work, return to Step
1.
If you need any further assistance let us know. I hope this helps.

If an optional remote indoor sensor is installed, the thermostat will display the temperature at the sensor location (the internal sensor in the thermostat is not used).

With persistence, I was able to program the Universal Remote Control provided with the cable box to control my new used Pioneer SX-315 receiver. I now can control the tv volume, cable box, auxiliary stereo receiver with speaker system with one remote. Thank goodness I did not have to resort to buying a Pioneer remote control.
I was able to program another previously unused universal remote which I purchased several years ago. However, since the other remote control did not list the Vizio TV. That brand is too new for the remote.
you are going to have to try a new universal remote because that one is not capable of programming to your tv. not all universals will work. trial and error. your best option sense you need to purchase a new remote is to go to www.replacementremotes.com and search my your TV model number and purchase the original equipment manufactured remote for your tv. Good news you wont have to program it either. and it will work your menu functions.
