I need the driver of compaq altec lansing - HP Compaq Presario v3000z Notebook

Altec Lansing used to be good, but not any more. I had one that buzzed even when switched off. As it was in my bedroom, I put it all back in the box like new and gave it to a Christmas present drive for underprivileged children.

The speaker with the controls goes on the right. Here is the installation manual

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
if you dont have a disk with the drivers you will have to download them

Hi names Rui try downloading the sound driver here http://www.computerdriverfinder.com/altec-driver.php you will find all the latest sound drivers for altec lansing in this site if it still doesn't work try calling costomer service so they can provide you with better solutions..
try to dl a driver 1st if all else fail that your last option.....

You can Google "Altec Lansing Drivers Download" and get a number of resources returned. May have to register to download them but...

You may have to remove the sound card and copy any numbers or letters on the card. Then google until you find the right driver. If the sound card is the card that came with your computer then go to HP.com compaq/support.
