Ricoh 1035 scanning set up

Yes you can use it for scanning to your computer. You must have the scan option installed to do this. Does the left side of your operations panel have a button labeled scanner? If so and you push it, it should give you the scanner operation screen. If all this is true then all you need to do is have someone setup the machine on your netrwork for scanning.
If you do not have this button or if you do and you push it says this option not installed then you will need a network print/scan kit. You can find these on Ebay for less than $200. Installation and configuration will cost you another $100.00 to $150.00

Does your machine have the Printer Option installed? Or the Print / Scan Option installed? If so, there would be a NIC input on the left hand side of machine towards the back....and print and scan buttons on the left side on your control panel. Type 1045 Printer option is what needs to be installed for the machine to be able to print. Drivers can be downloaded from this link to Ricoh.

sc 121 is related to optics section of your machine.check the lamp is glowing .if so check the connection from optics to main board.

There is a service code to disable the key counter. I'll have to look it up. If you are not connected to a network, you can still use the copier without being hooked up to one. That is just a warning message. You can clear it out by pressing user tools counter. Select interface and set all ip addresses to 0.0.0.0.

You will need to assign a new appropriate IP address for the machine under "user tools" system settings", "Interface settings", "Ip address".
Then create a new tcp/ip port for the printer, and point the old driver to this. Scanning may require additional work -perhaps a tech, to reconfigure the scanner. Your probably using the "scanrouter" software?

does your 1035 have either a printer or printer /scanner option. If it does just hook s line up to the network connector on the back of the controller. hit user tools, system settings, interface settings, network settings and then select auto obtain. now exit from the user tools to the regular screen. wait about ten seconds to let the settings take effect. Now hit user tools , printer features, lists and hit configuration page. Take this page to the computers with you. Go to start, add a printer add a local printer, deselect auto detect, hit next. Now hit add port select tcp/ip from drop down button. in location where is it says printer name or ip address enter the printer name located on the bottom right section of the configuration page you printed. now go to ricohs website www.ricoh.com, americas, then at the top you will see downloads. then a screen will apper that says drivers and manuals. select black and white, 1035 and windows vista. create a folder on your desktop called printer. once in the folder, open it double click and unzip it into the same folder.now back to page after you have typed in the printer name and hit next. go to have disc, browse to the folder on the desktop and follow the prompts form set up, drivers, vista, pcl 5, english and the select if this is your default printer, do not select sharing and ask it to print a test page. once this has printed go to the properties tab on the drive itself and select accessories. and add whatever options your copier has ie. sorter, duplex or extra paper drawers. Now do this to all your copiers on the network. doing this allows you to print from any computer regardless if any other computer goes down

Yes you should be able to set up a destination in your address book. The folder must be shared. Click here for the scanner reference for this machine for more information.
