When I turn on the printer "Download Mode" appears on the lcd screen.

With printer off, press and hold "+" "-" and "menu" button at front panel. Then turn on your printer. keep holding the 3 buttons until you see "diagnostics" appearing on the lcd screen then let go of the buttons. you will be in diagnostic mode.

press the "menu" button once and you will see diagnostics. press "enter" button then "menu" button again until you see "check cutter"

that's not too good...let's get down to cases here

Enter service mode....

Press the start/stop switch and hold it while you power the machine on.
THEN, press the reverse switch, hold it and press the lcd. Release the reverse switch AFTER you touch the LCD.

try plugging in other power outlet then,

Type in "p" "*" "C" " *" (that is p button, star button, p button, star button.) the machine will go into sim mode enter 14 then press execute which appears on the lcd and the yes to confirm, then press CA and the machine should turn off then back on again .
if nothing resets then,
put in oem toner.

the error E602 is Hard disk error and you can clear it in
Service Mode and Making Selections
1) Press the User Mode key ‘ ’ .
2) Press ‘2’ and ‘8’ on the keypad at the same time.
3) Press the User Mode key ‘ ’ on the control panel.
In response, the following Initial screen will appear:
To reset the error, execute the following in service mode:
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.

To do a print head clean do this:
Firstly note that this won't work if you have any error lights on.
Turn on the printer.
Press the Setup Mode (screwdriver) button to enter the Setup Mode.
Press the A (top left of the LCD Screen) or one of the Arrow buttons repeatedly until "Head Cleaning" (or Nozzle Check)
appears on the LCD screen, and then press the Color button.
Cleaning of the print head starts and "Head cleaning" appears on the LCD screen. After each clean
perform a nozzle check to confirm that the head is clean and to reset the cleaning cycle.
Note:
If the print quality has not improved after repeating this procedure four or five times, turn this
product off and leave it alone overnight. Then repeat head cleaning and nozzle checks if necessary.
If the print quality still has not improved, you may need a third party head cleaning fluid, just try googling for "inkjet head cleaning fluid".
To maintain the print quality, you should print a few pages at least once a month.

After replace new hdd, u need to performs following:

Update of HDD program data and UI data.

1) Create partitions. (In case of using the download jig, this is not necessary.)
While pressing [3] and [CLEAR] button, turn the power ON.
When "Firmware Version Up Mode" appears on the LCD, key in [3] and press the [START]
button.

2) Format the HDD. (Setting Mode (08-690: 2))

3) Update with the download jig or USB storage.

4) Format the HDD. (Setting Mode (08-690: 2))
* When the FAX unit (GD-1150) is installed.
Start up with the FAX Clearing Mode (1*)
Perform the 1*-100 (FAX Set Up), 1*-102 (Clearing the image data) of the FAX Clearing Mode.

Turn on the main and sub power switches.
Keep pressing the
* button until the message
“Please enter service password.” appears.
Input 9272 as the password and press the
[Start] key. (The password is fixed and cannot
be changed.)

Press the key of the mode to be selected on the
screen. To return to the Mode Change Menu
Screen, keep pressing the
* button until the
screen appears.
When the adjustment ends, press
[1. Normal Mode] key and the basic screen will appear

The camera may have shut off automatically to save power. Press the POWER button to turn it back on. Also make sure the mode dial is turned completely to the desired mode. When the camera is connected to a computer, the LCD screen is disabled. When it is connected to a printer, press any button to display the print progress screen. After a moment, it disappears again.
