Dell 3300MP Projector

Hello, We have a Dell 3300MP Dell Projector, When you turn on the projector The warming up signal shows for 5min + with very little light coming from the lens. Once the Warming Sign turns off, The Light error glows redish orange and lamp error sign shows. Projector then freeze's up and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. We purchased a lamp thinking that was the problem but the system gets warm and we think it is something other then the lamp. The fan sounds as though it's running and it also looks to be running. Any help is much appreciated. We no longer have warrenty on this and I am wondering if it pays to get this fixed or buy a new one with a lens that can go further.

Make sure the cooling fan is working and air is reaching the light source, you can hear it running (low whirling noise) when you turn it on, if not that is the problem.

Using a Dell 3300MP Multimedia Projector trying to connect to a mac via usb...says "cannot find signal", nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

you cannot pass a signal through a usb input. USB inputs on a computer are usually used from firmware upgrades or mouse control depending on projector.

Dell 3300mp Projector No Signal found to Digital DVD

Guys, the projector doesn't do HDCP.  HDMI won't work.  You'll need to run over component or VGA.
