"PE" error message on LG Dishwasher LD-12AS1 LD-12AW2
The error message of "PE" comes on the screen when I try to run a cycle. If I open and close the door and try it a couple of times the error message finally goes away and you can start the cycle.
Occasionally the cycle would stop with the "PE" error again in the middle of the cycle and you would have to start all again.
There is no troubleshooting guide for "PE", there is "IE" "OE" etc so not sure what "PE" stands for??
What can I do so that the machine operates as it should without having to fluff around?

Re:
The PE error code indicates that the machine has a water pressure sensing error.
Check and clean the filters on both sides of the inlet water line.
Good luck!
I think you have the same problem as me. If you close the door HARD or give it a good bang - problem goes away?

Error
code IE on LG dishwasher means Inlet error. This error comes up when the Water
Supply Tap is closed or Water Supply is shut off. If water supply is turned on
then make sure that the Inlet Hose is not kinked and water Pressure is not low
(should be above 10 psi). Next thing to check for is Water Inlet Valve, measure
the electric resistance of Inlet Valve. (950-1300 ohms) Make sure the filter of
Inlet Valve is not clogged.
Hope this helps... Please post back

E1 is a code that the dishwasher displays after detecting a leak. There is a sensor on the pan at the very bottom of the unit. Take the bottom front panel off, look under the unit at the hose coming off the pump and your fill line to be sure no water is dripping. Run the unit in a wash cycle while doing this if possible.
Hi there, The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is: 1. Blocked drain hose 2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction) 3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD

If you are still having problems with your LG dishwasher, turn off the hot water supply to the dishwasher and remove the hot water inlet pipe (remove the lower, front panel (toe kick plate) )
Check the screen/filter at the water inlet on the dishwasher.
Reconnect the pipe and turn the hot water supply back on.
Test out and enjoy!

I don't know of PE as a error for the dishwasher, however stranger things have happened.
Lg has had problems with older units prior to mar 07. They have had wires breaking in the door. If you turn off the power and remove the panel. Look for broken wires and or wires stuck in the insulation. Check for continuity as sometimes it can be an internal break. Fix this and you should be good. Oh put some insulation between before closing it up .
You have either a water fill or water temperature problem. Not sure because you couldn't be specific on the error problem. You will need to call a qualified LG technician to diagnose this properly.
