is the channel flipping always happening at set intervals? Or, just randomly? Try replacing the batteries in the remote. If that doesn't work, start looking for other sources of IR(infrared). In some rare cases, direct sunlight on the TV will get it to do strange things.
What you have to do it go to the TV Menu and go to channel. Then go to channel scan and do one of those. THe problem is that is just doesnt know where to look for channels, but a quick scan will fix that.
Using the RCA remote that came with the TV go to the menu and do an auto tuning scan this should bring in any channels that got lock out after the unit reset itself. You can find an owners guide in PDF form on RCA's website if you neeed detailed assistance to perform these steps.
I hope this will help you.
Probably time for an upgrade to a newer channel mixer. Your mixer is probably not
worth fixing, but you could continue to use the mixer side for a while
until you decide to upgrade that. If you happen to know an electronics
tech, it could be a little project to check the power amp insert jack on channel B, but
it wouldn't be worth spending good money after bad when you could put
it towards more solid gear.
the problem is with the control panel of your tv...make sure your remote doesnt have any part in this...just remove and the batteries and check if the channels still are changing.....see if the onboard switch for channel changing is stuck ?..if stuck u can use homemade tools to pull it back......if your tv is within your gurantee period...just giv a call to customer care....if not u can take it to a local repair shop...there is nothin that u can urself do to make it right ...sorry....for further info contact at
Try doing the Channel Search again. See if that helps.
If not, sounds like the Digital Board could be defective. Since this TV is brand new suggest calling your local sharp authorized service center to replace that board under warranty.
replace the keyboard or remove the switches for channel up/down to see which one is bad. if neither does it, there are some components around the microprocessor that can cause this.
Have you checked to see if any of the front panel buttons are depressed and stuck??? this is a big problem these days?? I have also found the infared remote sensor to be bad on some sets that do crazy things all by them selfs.. A funny storry once i had was a customer called me after her mother called some goast finders as her maggy projection set would go on all by itself andf the channels would change and the volume would go up and down all by its self. funny thing I had a set just like thast in the shop at the time with the same problem and I scoped out the output pulse from the infared reciver on the set and that was putting out noise on the data line and caused the set to eratacly do all sorts of weird stuff. get the point?? its a stck button or the remote sensor is bad.
