Darvell,

You can click the link below for resetting the Windows XP password. If the information listed in the link does not work you will need to reinstall Windows or search the internet for password recovery software.

Forgot password so how do i reset?

There are password recovery programs, you also if you have nothing of importance on computer do a factory restore, this would remove all programs and restore like it was new when you bought it, but you will lose pitcures, documents and any programs you have installed. Always remember to write you passwords down.

I have forgot the password for my Toshiba NB 520

Hi melvasey,

If you forgot your password for your Toshiba laptop you can do system restore inside Safe Mode.Kindly follow the steps below to help you address the issue:

1. As soon as you turn on the computer, keep on tapping the F8 button.
2. Once you already have the boot menu, select Safe Mode or Safe mode with Networking.
3. If you're able to login inside Safe Mode. You can do System Restore. Here's how:

  • Go to Start then, Accessories.
  • You need to select the System Tools folder.
  • Inside the folder choose System Restore.
  • System Restore window will open, click on Next.
  • You need to check on Show more restore points, so you can have different options to choose from.
  • Select your desired restore point. Take note to choose one where you are able to use your computer. Then hit on next and wait until the process is done.
  • Finally, your computer will automatically reboot.
Hope it helps.
