E4 error The printer doesnt seem to be working and keeps on showing E4 on the display panel. Ive checked the catridge, and I kept on turning my printer on and off.. Please help me i need my printer to print my term papers...

    i have the same problem error#4 ,in additional to that the all lights are flashing (the printer status is dead ,no moving,no sound but only flashing .

    i follows some solution and i got no results.

I tore my hair out for most of the morning trying to fix the same problem, but what worked in the end was just pressing the start print button on the printer itself. The next time I turned the printer on the error message was gone.

If you are using refilled cartridges, remove the cartrigdes, switch printer off anf then on. reinstall the cartridges and give a copy or scan

Empty cartridge warning

Most problem experienced with hp photosmart c6180 is the yellow catridge error. Try cleaning the contact surface of the catridge and the printer using moistened cotton buds..if error continues, you should clear the error that keeps on displaying.. here's how: press & hold "*" key...while holding, press "#" key and then release both keys..."Enter Special Key Combo" will be displayed...press "1", "2" and "3" to display "Support"...press ">" right arrow button and release when "System Config Menu" appear....press "OK" and/or arrow key to display "Hardware Failure Status"...press "OK"....when "Hardware Failure Status:Clear" appeared, press "OK" to clear...press "OK" again to display "Hardware Failure Status Cleared. Press Cancel To Continue".....press "CANCEL" as many times to display "Welcome To Photosmart Express" or "Ink System Failure".....the last part is to turn off the printer and unplug at the back...wait for 30 sec, then plug and turn on the printer...if asked, press "OK" to continue and allow the "One Time Ink Initialization" to procede..After this try to print...

Cartridge error

Error 1203 is a very interesting error which normally means that your catridges overflow even from brand new catridges after a several prints or right after you refilled the catridges.

Check to see if ink are smeared on the holder where the contact panel with the catridge.

Solution:
I use the klennex with a few drops of water to dampen and clean off those contact on the holder and my printer work again.
The refill ink work very well if you let it sit 24 hrs. Then before you print anything, you should run aligned the catridges a couple times then run clean catridges a couple times.
Print the test page to see how it's look and way you go.
Be sure not to leave any debris of klennex on those holder contact panel.

To reset the error code, disconnect the power cord from the wall. Also remove the power brick from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Then connect everything again.

After E4 display, cartridges will not move over to the left.

E4 says no ink, press the OK button to continue, and replace the ink.

Color ink for ip1000 does not flow..??

Now put out u color cartridge and take one tissue paper or toilet paper then put ink color head to paper(soft pressure).after that see u paper are inside show three color appear in paper????(red,yellow and blue).if all have means you cartridge ok if only same or no any coming out means u color ink problem need to replaced new unit.

if got all color out better u open u printer body and check are all cable u plug in back is correct or wrong position??.second u can try go to printer preferences go to find print out in color or in gray-color and change their setting to print out in color

plz remove the catridge and reinstall the catridge properly then uninstall the printer driver and restart the system then after restarting the system then reinstall the printer driver and restart the system again then after restarting the system check

my problem was that i dint switch on the printer and wait for the catridge holder to take its place..and then insert the catridge,,,any wat now my problems are solved and i can use the printer for my presonal uses...

Canon MP 145 ink reset

If i am not mistaken error E4 is printer has NO INK. Check the cartridges first.
