Error message E08

Whenever I try to play a CD this error message comes up, E08, which according to the manual means "disc dirty or installed incorrectly." I have cleaned the changer and I know I'm installing the CD correctly. Any ideas????

You said you cleaned the player but did you clean the disc? Any scratches, dirt debris? To clean the disc you can but special cleaning soultions at various retailers. Have you tried playing diffrent discs, that will help rule out if it's the player or disc.

My Technic SPD967 is not working. Whenever I put a cd in the tray and press the play button, I am getting an E message.

"E" must stand for error, either the laser decoder is faulty or the cd motor is not spinning or the laser is dirty or faulty, more investigation needed

When i install cd it says error 6 on my clarion dxz465mp

Clarion Audio error codes:

Error Codes:

Error 1 Battery inside CD Changer needs to be replaced.

Error 2 CD error message. Mechanism has as eject problem or takes a long time to select CD.

Error 3 CD error message. The pick-up is out of focus during play mode due to scratches on the disc or contamination.

Error 4 Connection problem. Reconnect the data cable.

Error 5 CD error message. Could not read correct data due to CD ROM.

Error 6 CD error message. Could not read data from disc because it is upside-down.

Error 8 Tape Drive system defective. Eating tape or something wrong with the drive system.

Error 9 Weak RF. Try alternate frequency

Even though it says error 6 is an upside down cd, it just means the disc cant be read. usualy means the laser is dirty, out of adjustment, or not working.

Error 1 comes up on screen when cd played panasonic rx77 cd and cassette player.has active screen.

Don't know if this will help, but with my panasonic CQ-C8300N there are 4 error messages, all to do with CDs.

They are as follows:

CD E1 - Disc is dirty, or upside down.
CD E2 - Disc has scratches.
CD E3 - No operation by some cause! - see your dealer.
CD E4 - The file is not readable.

From my panasonic manual.

I'm receiving an error code "error-02" when i try to play a dvd from the xdv-p9 6 disc dvd player through my avic-n4. What does this error mean?

According to the manual, Error 2 means the disc is either dirty, scratched, upside down, or is of a type that can't be played by the player (i.e. CDROM). If none of the above is true, then there's a good chance the laser lens assembly in the player is either dirty or misaligned and will need to be professionally aligned. I wish I had better news!

JBL Error 1

Error one is unique to the disc being inserted into the player.
According to the service manual, this is the exact statement:

Err 1 appears on the display:
This indicates that the disc is dirty, scratched, damaged, incorrect (as in a "burnt" disc), or has been inserted upside down. Clean the disc or insert it correctly.

Toyota CD players are very sesnitive, and the svc manual specifically mentions not to use anything other than "store-bought" CDs.

According to manual code simply means electrical or mechanical fault - not extremely helpful.

Try to disconnect and reconnect power and it perhaps will reset the problem.

Motorstorm 80010514 erro

your error means this according to what I could find out : 80010514 - Disc error detected. Retrying operation. Do your other games work. If so, then you may have a bad game disc. Or it may be scratched or dirty. If your other discs work, then I would try this game on someone elses unit, or check it for dirt/fingerprints. If that doesnt work, you could try a cd lens cleaner disc..it may help.

Won't play CDs

in the manual it says that error 12 could be scrached disc or dirty disc the action it says to take is to clean or replace the disc(s). the last thing error 12 could mean is mechanical error, actions for that is to turn your key to the off position and wait for the power to turn off and when it does turn it back on and see if it works, if none of these work then i suggest that your player needs replacing. hope this works for you
