I have a Lexmark X1185 and just got a new computer with Vista. I downloaded the correct driver for Vista, and it all seemed to be working great. However now, if I want to scan something, it doesn't respond at all. I can push the copy button and it scans the picture and prints a copy, but wont scan and save.
I believe you have to push the scan button in order for it to scan and save. The copy buttons will only print either a black copy or a color copy.

What is the serial number of your printer and how is it connected to your computer?
You need to update the printer application driver, please follow the steps given below:
1. Go to "Start" and "Computer."
2. Double click on the CD-ROM drive letter (for example, D:).
3. Double click on the "Applications" folder to open it.
4. Double-click on the "Setup" icon with a CD on it to update the drivers completely."
5. Please wait for few minutes and then try to restart your computer and open the All-in-One center again.
Please follow the steps given below to perform the WIA scanning:
1. Click on "Start," and "Windows photo gallery."
2. Under "Windows photo gallery" click on "File" and " Import from camera and scanner."

I downloaded the new Lexmark X1185 printer driver for Vista and followed the same install procedure described, but I'm still having problems installing the drivers. The message I get during install is "Wizard cancelled by user." I have temporarily disabled my Firewall, and I still get the same problems. Any advice?
Thank you,
Jay Luis
