Question about Pioneer CDX-FM653 6-Disc CD Changer
The changer was working fine a few days ago. Could it possibly be a faulty remote/display. I do not a a wireless remote and there is power to the cd changer itself. The motor runs when I hook power up to it. The display is blank and no music. Please help.
I have the same problem, I just e-mailed pioneer. I am sure I will not find any help there. After I reset the changer and turn the display unit on it works fine. When I insert the cd's the changer just makes a redundant noise and does nothing. There is nothing stuck in it. Any ideas. Thanks

First try to get another display, maybe it's broken (could be the cable cutted), the changer with a motor noise in the moment you plug it, tell me that its ok (95%).

my moms CDX-FM653 rides in the trunk she keeps the CXB3249 controller up front with her and it just quit on her the other day no warning just nothing i wonder does it have a fuse ? there all good under the hood the fuses . is ther one on the unit its self ?. the radio still plays fine by the way its a 98 buick, cherry. it probly dont matter but it was in the car when she bought it . thanks this is cool ....DD
I got this in 99 as well and it has worked great the majority of that time. I had to push the wire/cable into the remote at just the right angle to get it to work for the last year but now I can see the wires and the remote just will not work. I haven't been able to find a replacement remote for this model. Does anyone know a comparable one that works with this model?
Thanks,
