We bought this home theater system about 10 months ago, and it works flawlessly. About two days ago we put a DVD in and all we heard was a bunch of clicks and then finally we got an Error message. I've tried numerous discs that have previously played in it, but we get the same Error message. I repair computers, so I took off the case to see if I could see the problem, and low and behold the optical eye is where the clicking resides. It's moving back and forth instead of staying stationary and reading the disc. What now?
I'm having the same problems with mine. It just wont read anything I put in the player. anybody find any solutions?I'm having the same problems with mine. It just wont read anything I put in the player. anybody find any solutions?
Seems like I have the same exact problem. It worked fine then started the clicking noise. Sometimes the blue light on the disc drawer will come on and then it will read, but suddenly stops playing and tells me bad disc.
Can anyone help ?? We have tried cleaning numerous times and checking to see if anything is loose , but to no luck.Hi there ,

I found the motor that spins the dvd was turning too slowly, I oiled the top bearing, drilled thru the cover of the bottom bearing to expose it, sprayed an electronics cleaner in it and oiled it as well.(light mineral oil.) This seemed to bring it up to speed for reading. We'll see how long it lasts, it could always be spray cleaned once more.

Try unplugging power cord from all equipment, also unplug audio and video cables, wait ten or fifteen minutes, cable everything back together and restart.
Let me also know what cables you are using to connect the TV.
sometimes the reader is dirty and need to be cleanead you can sometimes do this by spraying compressed air from a can through the slot or you may have to open unit to access
what has gone wrong is there is some sort of module in the back i too kmine apart and noticed it was the only thing that could have caused an issue im tryin to see what it woiuld cost to fix
