Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Priniters and Faxes
Right Click the Printer you want as default
Click Properties.
Click Ports tab
Try each USB Port or Each Parrallel Port until it works.

if your using a usb try to connect it other usb slot see to it that your computer recognized it and you install the appropriate driver for your printer. good luck!!

Check dependency services on Print Spooler ================================ 1.Click "Start", input "services.msc" (without quotation marks) to Start Search bar and press "Enter". 2.Double click the “Print Spooler” service. 3.Choose “Dependencies” Tab and remember the services name. 4.In the service list window, find the dependency services and try to start them. 5.Please try to start the “Print Spooler” service again.

Try unticking ENABLE BIDIRECTIONAL SUPPORT on the Ports Tab under Printer Properties accessed through control panel / Printers and Faxes. Try to print - get error message Enable Bidirectional Support. Reverse back into Ports Tab and re-enable Bidirectional Support and try printing again.
does it say an error after "unable to print",what lights? are all inks good?, is there any bits of torn paper inside where head and carriage side up and down?
