FA Stackable Washer / Dryer combo... LINT TRAP FULL / CYCLE STOPS

Question edited for clarity.

I can think of two things.

First wash the lint filter with dish soap and give it a gentle scrub with a plastic pot brush. Fabric softener can gum them up and impede the air flow.

Check the hose at the back for lint build up in the hose itself and in the tube at the back of the dryer. Finally check the flaps on the wall vent for smooth operation and they they are opening fully. If you have the old type with a circular flap, you might even find a birds nest in there!

Although the error light is telling you to clean the lint filter, it is actually registering reduced air flow and an overheat situation.

Dryer will not start but has power. says check lint trap. I check the lint trap and it is clean, but will not start.

buy a long lint trap cleaner that you can run deep into the dryer. Take the lint trap out and clean all down inside dryer under the lint trap. Then clean your exhaust hose.

What does it mean when a red light flashes above start button and the clean lint filter light is on the Frigidaire ffle3900uw? Lint trap is clean!dryer shuts off after 5 minutes.

If you use fabric softener sheets in your dryer, they eventually will deposit enough residue in your lint trap to close up the mesh. Usually you cannot see the residue, although it is blocking the movement of air through it. My advise would be to remove the lint trap and run it under hot water and clean it well, then try the dryer with the clean lint trap. I hope this works for you and solves your problem.

Dryer heats but clothes wont dry and have checked lint screens front and back. How much "air flow" should be coming out the back of the dryer?

Do not use this dryer until you fix it. You need to check the pipe or flexible tube that comes out of your dryer (where the hot air comes out). Even though you clean your dryer lint trap some lint gets by. If you can get to it, go outside and find the opening where the dryer air comes out of your house. Then open the little door and look inside but not when the dryer is running. If there is any lint inside clean it out. Then disconnect the air outlet from the back of the dryer and inspect. It should be free of lint. If it is full of lint clean it all out. You can also call a pro to perform the inspection and cleaning. Good luck.

Dryer is working but will beep while running and continue to run. I clean lint trap after every load and have checked it.

underneath the lint trap there is a senor, you will need to clean all the lint out inside the dryer and the vent tube:

My electric dryer runs for awhile then it just shuts off after about 15 minutes of running? Its a neptune.

a couple of things here may be the problem.. First I would check to make sure my lint trap and the dryer exhaust is not full of lint causing the dryer to heat at a higher temp throwing the high limit switch into disconnect due to the amount of heat generated by the coils. This hi limit switch is a safety device to prvent fires. If you find a lot of lint in the dryer vent or the dryer lint trap, once cleaned, see if the machine doesn't operate like you want. Second. The motor bearings or strator may be going out and the motor is going into thermal overload and shutting down to prevent, as you guessed, a fire. I would check the lint trap and dryer exhaust first since it is more than likely the problem and is cheaper to fix. A wet/dry vac should do the trick. Also remove the back of the dryer to clean out the lint paying special attention to the area around the motor vent which can get blocked causing the motor to over heat. Once these vents are cleared the motor may be fine. Make sure to do all of the above with the dryer disconnected from the power source..

Good luck hope this helped you some

Dryer shuts off on E-1 code..Lint trap has been cleaned as well as vent hose and vent riser to outside.

Check for brisk air flow at outlet of vent hose (hose disconnected). If weak, remove lint screen and retry. If now has brisk flow, clean screen in hot water and detergent.
