When I check the memory card staus, it says that there's space being used up. Yet, when I go to my media player, sounds, picutres, or videos they're all gone.
Is there a way to get them back without resetting and redownloading all the media items?

Your memory card has a certain amount of space dedicated to storage and you can continuously take pictures for storage. Once that space is used up, new pictures will overwrite anything that is old on the card. Probability of recovering anything deleted highly unlikely.
The phone camera can only function when there is available storage for the image(s). So once it if full, the initial storage location is full, then you do have to create space for new images to be stored before the camera can function properly again.
If your phone doesnt have a memory slot, the means that you are limited to the memory size you use, which is your phone memory. The solution here is to delete some data on your phone, or transfer it to another device. Then restart your camera.
If your phone has a memory slot, but your dont have a micro SD card in it, get one, then start your camera, go to settings, and change the storage to memory card.
If you already have a memory card, and it is not full yet, it means your camera is storing the images on the phone. Go to settings when you turn on the camera, and change the storage location to memory card.
But if you have a memory card, and it is full, you would have to delete some items to create space.
I hope one or more of the instances was helpful to you? Have a nice day.
you'd better remove the memory card from camera and then connect the memory card to computer with a card reader before you use asoftech photo recovery to scan camera and recover lost pictures.
It is possible that the phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up then it is confirmed that the software is corrupt and will need a reinstallation.connect the phone to PC and check the memory, check for faulty files to be copied and deleted to increase space. Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.
Apps are stored internally and do not have anything to do with storage provided by the sd card. You are limited to 512MB of space for apps, texts, pictures, video, etc. The sd card storage space can be used to hold pictures, movies, songs.
To free up space, you can do a couple things. First, you can open the File Viewer on your phone and move any photos, movies or songs you've created/downloaded from internal to the sd card. Second, you can delete apps or text messages to free up space.
1. Remove the memory card from the phone. 2. Plug it into a usb card reader. 3. Go to my computer and right click on the icon that says "removable disk". 4. Click on FORMAT.
Caution though, it will delete everything in your memory card so I suggest to back it up first.
Please don't forget to give a 4 thumbs up for this free question.
The phone's internal memory and memory card may be running out of space. Try to delete unnecessary files and free some memory space. Go to Menu>Tools>File Manager. Select the folder or file you want to delete and scroll left or right to switch from the phone's internal memory to the memory card.
Format the memory card and the phone's internal memory if the problem is not resolved above. But it will erase all saved data on both memory.
Memory Card Formatting Procedure
Go to MENU > TOOLS > MEMORY.
On the memory card menu press OPTIONS.

Messages can only be stored on the internal memory of the phone and not the memory card. The memory card is only used for media.
The best way to clear out your messages is to have a data cable or a bluetooth transmitter on you computer and install nokia PC Suite from Nokia.com. There is a message management program that will allow you to clean up old messages stored in your cell phone.
If that isn't possible to do, the only other choice you have is to manually delete messages from you phone.
