Question about Fisher and Paykel Fisher Paykel Intuitive Eco Washer IWL15

1 Answer

How do I fix it? Fisher Paykel washer

The codes indicated I either have a problem with my clutch or pressure tube as to why my washer is not spinning. How do I check/get to the pressure tube and clutch? Am I better off calling in a tech or can it be tackled by a novice?

When you remove the display cover you will find the motor control module below it. There is a clear tube coming up from the outer tub and it pushes onto a small plastic spigot on the right side of the board. Pull this hose off and blow through it. If there is any restriction, this should get rid of it. The pressure switch is built into the board and is not accessible. The clutch is something that you will need to cal a Tech in for.

Fisher and Paykel washer fault code 40. Is it possible to repair DIY. What to look for?

This is error code 40.
40. (00101000) Basket Dis-engage Fault
While carrying out a basket check, the Motor Control Module has found that the basket is
not engaged even though the pressure sensor indicates that the basket is empty. The
Motor Control Module continues to check for 2 minutes, after which time it displays this
fault. The first two areas to check are the clutch and the pressure tube. If these two
appear correct, then the fault could be in the pressure sensor in the Motor Control Module.
Primary Source: Mechanical.
Action: 1) Check that there are no clothes or other foreign objects preventing
the clutch from re-engaging. Excessive suds can stop the basket
rotating.
2) If the machine is empty of water, carry out a clutch disassembly
procedure and check the spline drive.
3) Next check that the pressure tube has not come off and that it is
not kinked.
Secondary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: Replace Motor Control Module.

My fisher & pykel is showing error 40 does any one know how to fix this ,,,Thanks

Error 40 means it is a clutch problem. If you can take the inner bowl out and see inside for a forign object preventing engaging the clutch. If water over flowing check the pressure tube. It probably disonnected or damaged. Pressure transducer inside the control board also can be faulty. If you are mechanically competent this problem can be easily fixed.

Error code 47

I have the fault description paper tucked under my instrument panel on my washer. Error 47 says Basket Disengage Fault, and under that it says: The floating basket has not engaged even though the pressure sensor indicates that the tub is empty. Check that the clutch or the pressure tube is not blocked or crushed.
That's all I've got, sorry I'm no repair tech.

Fisher and paykel gwl15 wont completely drain

Also check the clear pressure tube for blockages,
Blow air down the pressure tube to remove any blockages
that would prevent water level from changing.

I have a Fisher & Paykel GW609 with a fault code of 39. F&P service rep believed it to be an electronics fault which only a service could fix. Is this the case and would be the exact problem? Could...

Fault code 39 is a pressure tube fault which means the the pressure tube has become blocked or kinked or has fallen off completely. Check first and make sure the pressure tube, the clear small hose running from the motor controller module to the bottom of the tub, is not blocked/kinked, not air leaks, no moisture, and properly attached to both the motor controller module and the tub. Replace the pressure if leaking or clear it if blocked or has moisture.

The pressure sensor is at fault if there's no any issue found with the pressure tube. But the pressure sensor is an integral part of the motor controller which make s replacing it as the only viable solution.

Fisher paykel won't finish spin cycle

To remove the tub you need to remove the spin motor magnets and stator, then using a tube soket undo the tub nut and it will come out. (not EASY JOB)
